We live in a moment of civilizational crisis and awakening – a Second Renaissance. There are many terms associated with it: metamodern, metacrisis, integral, teal, liminal web, GameB, regenerative and more.

Today we're sharing a vision for an emerging Second Renaissance “Oasis”. The Oasis is a home and waystation for those who resonate with the vision of the Second Renaissance and want to help bring it into being.

About the Oasis

The Oasis is a metaphor and a structure. It names and gives form to what’s been quietly emerging within the Second Renaissance project in the form of a distributed yet connected community of people stepping forward, exploring this new territory together. We imagine it like an oasis in a desert landscape that is vast, full of possibility and only partly explored. The Oasis is a growing settlement and resting place, a key node in a broader ecosystem.

So what is the Second Renaissance Oasis? It’s an online space and a community infrastructure for those who want to take action in alignment with the Second Renaissance. It’s a gathering point, a commons, and a staging ground. And it’s beginning to take shape.

Within the Oasis, tents are already being raised and more are planned. Here are a few that are already there:

A Welcome & Community Tent – to orient new travelers as they arrive and where we hold open calls, dialogues, and informal gatherings.
A News Tent that publishes Seeds of a Second Renaissance in which ideas and news from the wider ecosystem are shared.
A Field Building Tent – connecting this work to wider networks, initiatives, and communities.
A Research & Sensemaking Tent – for those mapping the terrain, inquiring into deeper patterns and developing a knowledge commons.
An Art Tent – for those creating art to explore and share the vision of a Second Renaissance.
A GiveWiser Tent – supporting wise giving aligned with the Second Renaissance spirit.
