A policy case for Developmental Spaces: collective settings for integrated inner development. Key to the inner-led system change and cultural renewal needed amid converging crises.
Thanks for the webinar, it was a great introduction and I'm excited to see how everything evolves over time as more and more people become exposed to this work and the momentum continues to snowball.
I think you would be really interested in the work of the Radical Aliveness Institute, I did about 10 months of in-person group work in Toronto last year and it was incredibly transformative. It is definitely a developmental space. The founder, Ann Bradney, has been doing peace work in Israel + Palestine for a long time and gosh, it's hard to put this work into words. Anyways, thank you again, and see you along the great path some other time in some other place 🌱.
Oh my sweet God, I got chills reading this, I am so drawn to this work and I'd love to be involved and learn more about this. Wow, it's really happening, a lot of the nebulous thoughts and ideas I've had in my own life and spoken about with people in my circle are right here, it's really hopeful to read this. 🙏
Thank-you, and we are very touched by your words. There are many ways to be involved and one immediate thing is to come to the webinar and meet others.
The world needs more experiences like this. Too often workplaces, communities and parental norms push people to learn and do things, in ways they are not yet ready to do. The understanding of inner transformation, its purpose and how it can be nurtured, is an key piece that is often missing.
I've been exploring and seeding intentional developmental spaces in Toronto. I recently went to a camp called Village Playground where there was a lot of we-space, collective dialogue offerings, I helped produce an IFS course series, and I recently just hosted a session on Wise Agency w/Peter Limberger of The Stoa.
Hit me up if you want to talk about how Toronto can be a developmental hub
Hi Chris, really happy this was inspiring. And great to hear you were at Village Playground (with James Baker and others I assume).
We'd love to talk more about Toronto as a developmental hub. Perhaps you will be able to join the webinar and there is an associated network that is meeting quarterly at the moment https://developmentalspaces.org/network
Amazing, I just registered for the webinar! Excited to meet others and learn more ☺️

Fantastic to see this live. Kudos and thank you for your critical work!
Extremely inspired by this article :)

Hey Rufus! Thanks for the warm reply
The webinar takes place on a weekday so I probably can’t make it but there might be a few faces from Toronto that can come and vouch on my behalf
Quite understand and we'll probably try and record it. And if you sign up for the network there are quarterly meetings.
